ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM SEPTEMBER 14, 2025


• Happy Birthday to those born in September and those celebrating Anniversaries.

• We celebrate Dr. Danielle Grier and Deaconess Michelle Mack for their leadership and dedication. North School has improved from a C to a B on the state report card. This is a true reason to celebrate.

• Galilee United Methodist Church is hosting a Women’s Morning Manna on Saturday, September 20th, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. All women are invited to attend.

• Ward One Community Gathering Come be part of the Ward One Advisory Board meeting on Monday at 6:00 pm at Mauney Memorial Library. Together, we’ll decide on the new bench, trash receptacle, and entry sign for our community. If you live in Ward One or know someone who does, we’d love for you to join us. Your input and your vote will help shape the place we share. This is from Leroy McVay, who is a member of the Advisory Board.

• The Heritage Family Day planning team needs volunteers for September 20. The event runs from 1:00 PM to 6 PM. See Sis. Hailey Williams, if you would like to help. They are accepting donations for prizes.

• You are invited to join the couple’s ministry and adult Bible class for a trip to Narroway Dinner Theater in Fort Mill, SC, on Saturday, October 4th at 5:00 pm. The production, Lord of Light, portrays the battle between Michael and his angels and Satan after the crucifixion, when Jesus went to Hades to reclaim the keys. The church van will leave at 3:30 pm. Tickets are $52.00 (dinner is included). Only 12 spots are remaining. You may sign up in the vestibule or with Sis. Dorene Bratton. Payment is due by Sunday, September 21, payable to Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Please give checks to Dorene Bratton, Wanda Gilmore, Bruce Mack or Shelia McClain.

• If you need a 145th Church Anniversary assessment envelope, just let one of our ushers know and they will be glad to give one to you. • We encourage members to purchase an ad for our Anniversary souvenir book. You can find the information and forms in the vestibule and on the piano bench by the door.
